VBS 2014? Yes, you read that right. This week is a big week for the VBS team here at LifeWay. It is time for us to start planning for VBS 2014. The VBS team along with guests from outside of LifeWay will start the process to determine the 2014 VBS theme. While we can’t tell you much at this point, we do ask for your prayers. We know that putting God first is the only way to begin this process. We ask for His guidance in every decision we make. We thank you for your prayers as the planning begins and we can’t wait until we get to share it all with you!

Ms.Candace, Is there anyway y’all can get clip art posted earlier for VBS 2013? I am the VBS director and chief decorator at FBC Pearsall, TX. We do tons of big paintings for our decorations.. It is so less stressful… if we can start the paintings earlier, instead of January. Is that possible?
Also, the t-shirts use to have the entire bible verse on the back of the shirt. It would be awesome if y’all would do that again.. Even on a shirt, a bible verse is powerful.

Ms. Candace, I don’t know if you are open to suggestions on the theme but I would like to see a VBS on the Holy Land. Times when Jesus was born, grew up, and His ministry. Just a thought.

HOW CAN VBS HELP CHURCH LIBRARIES / AND, HOW CAN CHURCH LIBRARIES HELP VBS?! Church Librarians strive to support all the ministries of the church— including VBS. They also strive to encourage reading and let people know about helpful resources. Sadly, they have to scramble to “invent a wheel” every summer for library club themes. It would be awesome if librarians could go to a LifeWay store and buy a summer library club pre-packaged. How cool would it be to tie the library club theme into the VBS theme? We have experimented with library clubs over the years and have the mechanics down, it is the theme decorations that are a challenge. Let me know if I can help!
